Hi everyone,

Since there are some irrigation professionals here, I am optimistic that my "problem will be solved.

I am currently wondering how to perfectly harmonize my robotic lawn mower with the irrigation controller?

I am using a Bosch Indego S+ 400 and on my desk lies a Hinter Hydrawise Pro HC controller. With the Bosch Indego, I can set time windows during which mowing is allowed based on weather data. How does that work with the Hydrawise?

In my opinion, there are different possibilities:
1. Irrigation in the morning - mowing in the evening
+ Watering in the morning is optimal according to my research
- Mowing in the evening could be annoying for the neighbors (and us) on the terrace

2. Mowing at night - watering in the morning
+ Optimal time for watering
+ Neighbors are not disturbed while sitting on the terrace
- Mowing at night is unfriendly to animals

3. Mowing in the morning - watering in the evening
+ No one is disturbed
- Neither watering nor mowing is at the optimal time

What do you think? For mowing, about a 4-hour time window should be set.

Regards

Is the mower so loud that it disturbs?

Normally, it should be sufficient if there are 1-2 hours between the end of irrigation and the start of mowing. The lawn can be damp, the mower doesn't mind that at all. Water at 4:30 in the early morning and mow from around 8 a.m. That's how it is for me, irrigation ends around 6 a.m.

The mower is so quiet that there is no problem.
Watering in the early morning hours. Depending on how long your irrigation cycle is, start so that you finish around 6 a.m.
Mow preferably during the day when the children are, for example, at school. So around 8-9 a.m. Otherwise, in the evening. If your mower is sufficiently “oversized,” you can also let it run shorter on the weekend.

With Hydrawise, you just enter the days and times. Similar to the robotic mower.

That should not be a problem at all, as the lawn is to be watered a maximum of once a week.

Depends on the type of lawn and the soil. Usually rather 2-3 times.
