Hello, I hope you can help me. I bought a weekend property that was only used in the summer. But now I want to winterize it so that you can also spend a cozy weekend there in winter and get away from the city. The floor and walls are clear to me, but with my roof I don’t know how to proceed best and most cost-effectively. The cabin has a corrugated roof with a slight slope and a suspended ceiling structure. Previously, simply 6 cm of insulating wool was laid on the ceiling structure. However, I found dead insects and a deceased beehive on it, so there must be small holes on the side. (The roof is tight) Now my question is how do I insulate best? Can I do it the same way as before but with 15 cm insulation and a vapor barrier in between? Won’t it get damp in autumn because of the humidity from the roof? I hope you understand what I mean. The pictures are a bit dark.
