Insulating the roof - what makes sense?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to inquire or ask about satisfaction and heating cost reduction of different insulation materials.

What do you recommend and why? I only want to insulate my roof with it, I just acquired the house and find it sensible to do it right away because I want to save heating costs and the floor is currently empty anyway.

Year of construction 1998 Insulate the roof? Feels like it doesn't make economic sense. But that's just a guess :cool:
