Insulating a pitched roof, thermal bridge?, gypsum board insulation layer

Hello, I am currently insulating my roof. The roof is covered, an underlayment membrane is installed. Now I am busy securing 032 batt insulation between the 200 mm rafters and stapling a vapor barrier. Now to my question: Is it necessary with 200 mm rafters to insert an additional insulation layer (24 mm battens) between the support battens for the drywall panels, or can the thermal bridge of the rafters be neglected?
