Hello forum!

I intend to insulate a garden house (5x7m) with a cellar!
Currently simply outside wood tongue and groove boards, 13cm wooden construction, inside again tongue and groove boards.

Intention: should be cooler in summer, warmer in winter / will that work?

I want to fill the whole thing with about 10cm thermal insulation fleece and a vapor barrier glued to the inside!

Question:

    [*]Which vapor barrier (sd value?)
[*]Which insulation material (mineral wool, panels, …)
[*]Or rather, will it even be worth it (I also have an air conditioning system installed where I can cool in summer and heat in winter!)

Thanks
Best regards Wolf

Wall is one thing. You should also consider [Dach], [Fenster], [Tür], and [Boden]. The result will be like that and you can try it first, moreover it is within the price range and can be done yourself. Material should simply be aligned with the price and better specified insulation value, but keep in mind that [ungedämmte Dach] etc. I wouldn't do too much there.

Can you still reach the construction 13cm? Fill all the fields with mineral wool and also install a vapor barrier for regular winter use. Then a radiator/heater or the mentioned air conditioning unit is sufficient.

Yes, I can reach that... I would put the battens down, put in insulation, put the vapor barrier on, and then put the battens back on....

I'm not quite clear on the vapor barrier yet... There are many different things (SD value,...) What to pay attention to, in a pinch the 'cheapest' one will do ;)

I wouldn’t spend too much money just because of a value. Standard would be sufficient, since otherwise you would have to insulate the entire thing without exception and flawlessly, and that would surely be unreasonably expensive. As I already said, having an expensive version in one place and almost nothing in another would be money thrown away. Often there are also an offer or second choice, etc., with which you can achieve your goal just as well. I have an acquaintance who implemented something similar and by now has hidden nearly 8,000.- with here and there "upgrading." However, the floor and roof are still almost uninsulated, single glazing etc., so the heat only goes in/out somewhere else..... o_O. This is the kind of thing I think YOU should NOT do.
