"The same again without trauma" is a reasonable explanation for a certain house model. But there are also providers who do not refuse to include the basement in their contract volume. The top edge of the basement ceiling is a doubly critical interface: a lot can fail to fit there, and the "guilty" party is always the other one (if there is a second supplier). That’s why you always choose someone who either provides both themselves or makes the basement builder their subcontractor. By this sequential arrangement, you avoid being left out in the cold as the client.
