Hi house building forum community,
Let me introduce myself first.
My name is Steffen, I come from southern Hesse, I am 35 years old and I come from the electrical trade.
We bought a house from the 80s and have currently torn out all the wooden ceilings.
Below are steel concrete beams. Between them are aerated concrete or porous concrete blocks.
Above that is directly the roof with a 3% slope, not walkable.
Now the question is how to insulate it sensibly.
Removing the roof covering, insulating, and re-covering the roof is out of the question.
My idea would be to insulate between the first battens with glass wool, then a vapor barrier, then counter battens, then drywall panels.
The walls are not plastered but covered with drywall panels.
Actually, I would have to put the vapor barrier behind the drywall panels on the raw wall, right?
Regards
Steffen
