Think of a network cable if you are moving anyway.

Good tip, thanks! I wouldn't have done it that way because I assumed that the WR all have Wi-Fi by now :-) But it's easy enough to install it along with that.

The inverter has Wi-Fi, but your smart meter in the meter cabinet does not. And your inverter has to communicate with it. The Wi-Fi is actually only for your app on the phone and for configuring the inverter. So, in addition to the power cable to the meter cabinet, always include a CAT7 network cable. Basically, one can only advise to always keep the storage and inverter outside the house. For me, everything is also located in an outbuilding in the technical room. That already reassures me.
