Hello

I forgot to mention (although it doesn't really matter here, but I'm just happy) that he has not had a driver's license since mid-2017. Following a tip from a neighbor, I recorded 15 of his regular trips without a driving license. The police gladly accepted the report, as the guy is well known there. This court case is still pending. By the way, he has been on probation since mid-2017.

Our neighbor is not quite that extreme. I also know him from before, born the same year. That’s why we use “Du.”

However, he really gets insulting when things don’t go his way. And we don’t tolerate that!

He is right in demanding that we build the fence on the boundary. We simply hadn’t thought about it beforehand. I didn’t want trouble with the neighbor. Now we have some. Bad luck, but no way around it.

Let’s see what comes out of our appointment.

There are also really nasty neighbors, what good is coffee then, the OP said he gets insulting... and yes, I would immediately get legal protection insurance, if I’m not mistaken, the Homeowners Association even covers that for 30 euros a year...

And it can also happen that he sues YOU, then it’s reassuring to know that the legal protection would possibly cover that even if you lose... it helps enormously.

Why should people who have legal protection and don’t put up with everything be bad neighbors?
