I have now ordered a cheaper one for 220 euros as a mirror! And another radio actuator that is compatible with Somfy. I will then activate the heating every morning 10 minutes before showering via a scene. During the residual light time, I can control it via mobile phone or radio switch.

After 2 months I can say, it is not really worth it. The heater takes 3 hours to achieve a perceived increase in room temperature. However, this also feels somehow patchy distributed in the room.

PS. The quality of the heaters sold by hdw leaves much to be desired. For example, no grounding wire in the heater even though it is approved for protected areas according to the homepage.

An infrared heater does not heat the room air directly but only the irradiated objects. Depending on the material of the object (wood, stone, etc.), this happens faster or slower. Infrared heaters are also used, for example, on terraces. People staying there are "warmed" by the rays, but not the air, which would also be pointless on a terrace.

If you stand in front of the infrared heater, you should feel warm relatively quickly, whereas a long preheating doesn't really help.

Alex
