Good evening,

Certainly not with the real estate transfer tax ... however, Uncle State always goes for the pockets of those he no longer has to ask first ;)

We "Hannelörchen" are elected by the people ....

Rhenish greetings

It is terrible that the additional costs of a construction/purchase project are so enormously high that it is often impossible for many middle-income families to acquire property as a retirement provision. In particular, the real estate agent’s commission and the property transfer tax are noteworthy, which together often amount to somewhere around TEUR 30 - 50. If you then add the usual costs (purchase contract, mortgage registration including entry, approvals from authorities, surveying, etc.), it really gets scary.

That’s really a bit annoying. Luckily, interest rates are currently so low.... although that is a naive calculation. The money saved on interest now no longer belongs to the bank but to all those involved in the construction. Demand has increased to such an extent that there is excessive demand, which is driving construction costs and house prices overall upwards.
