IKEA Yttran - The mixer lever is a bit wobbly - is that normal?

It is indeed interesting why it is like that.

The Grohe faucet has just arrived. There is already a significant difference in quality. You can see it even without it being installed.
The Ikea YTTRAN was an impulse buy after the Grohe with the high C spout, which we had previously installed, splashed too much precisely because of the high spout.
The Yttran was visually appealing, but unfortunately that was about it.

It must also be noted that the mixer lever of the Yttran does not run nearly as smoothly as that of a Grohe.

Well, it was an experiment that could have turned out well.

The Grohe will be installed shortly and the Yttran will be returned.

I would - especially with regard to long-term spare parts supply - also source my fittings from established manufacturers.

That is an additional point. And as already mentioned several times, our fittings have so far always been from Grohe. There was never even the slightest challenge with them.

We had not previously considered that the Grohe with the high C-spout would spray. This is due to the design but cannot be changed. The Yttran impressed partly due to its design and the 10-year warranty. The price was rather moderate. Therefore... a try.

For our current Grohe we could have gotten 4 Yttran. but in the long term, Grohe is certainly the better investment, no question.

Ikea is great in many things, but I would never buy fittings there again.

The new Grohe is installed and works perfectly. It immediately upgrades our Ikea kitchen a bit. No, that was a joke.
It's simply good, as expected.
