Ikea PAX sliding door combination

Hello everyone,

we are currently considering which sliding doors to use for our existing Pax carcass (white, two elements 1.50x2.36m). We have encountered a few problems that no one has been able to answer so far. We want 2 doors with mirror elements and 2 in white. There is no such set of doors in one (door) series. What exists are pure mirror doors (AULI) and pure white doors (e.g. Anstad). We now have the following questions, which no one at Ikea could or wanted to answer.

1) Are the doors combinable (i.e. do they have the same rail system and do they fit behind/in front of each other)? We would like to build the middle two of the 4 doors as mirror doors and the outer two as white.

2) If that is not possible: Can the individual white and mirror panels possibly be swapped with each other? Does the thickness match?

It would be great if someone has already tried this or otherwise has an idea whether it works. The assembly instructions for both doors look almost identical. Statements from IKEA employees so far were: "We can't tell you that." "No idea." "If you want to try it, go ahead. However, we won’t take the things back then." --> Great

I have just done exactly that (middle mirror, left and right white) - but with the 2x1m doors ANSTAD and AULI (wardrobe overall 4m wide). So I can give the following input:

1) ANSTAD and AULI rail systems including rollers etc. are identical
2) Frame constructions are also identical
3) Connectors for the frame constructions (corners, crossbars between the panels or mirrors) are different - with ANSTAD being less massive due to lower weight
4) Panels and mirrors are interchangeable in terms of dimensions (same thickness). Whether this is advisable remains questionable because of point 3), although the weight of the mirrors is then distributed. Visually very interesting would be to install the bottom and top panels in white in all doors and the mirrors in the middle.
5) The left and right door respectively are not symmetrical (frame), so you have a "front" and a "back" mirror door as well as panel door. Originally I wanted to have both mirror doors at the "back" and the white panels in front. However, the frame of the respective front door is wider. If you would use this as the back door, the front door would no longer slide past it, so you couldn’t open it anymore. The only way out here would be one mirror door with a white frame and one with an aluminum frame - which might look a bit odd.

What else comes to mind:
- Don’t be so clever and install the Komplement soft closers immediately - the doors can no longer be hung this way. Installation on hung doors is fiddly but is the only way.
- Leave a few mm space between the inner carcasses because decorative strips of the doors are still installed here (especially difficult if the complete interiors are already in and you have to shift everything again)
