Hello,
We are currently in the process of moving into our beige-brown extension to a single-family house.
Now we thought we could use our existing Ikea cabinets - Pax 1.50m with sliding doors Malm.
The cabinet is to be expanded to 2.0 or possibly 2.25m wide.
New question: is it possible to simply attach regular carcasses with hinged doors NEXT to the existing sliding doors? Possibly we could install the carcasses with different depths so that the sliding door mechanism would not be affected.
Does anyone have experience with this?
We didn’t want to dispose of the existing cabinets as they are still in perfect condition!
See picture below: the mentioned wardrobe cabinet is to be used and expanded as a bedroom closet.
Many thanks to everyone!
