Ikea Maximera (Metod) as a replacement for Rationell (Faktum)

Hello everyone,

after no one at Ikea could tell me whether Maximera fits into a Faktum, I tried it myself.

Bought: Maximera 60x60cm medium for internal installation

Result:
- Width and depth fit without problems
- The screw hole pattern is different. That means the holes for the rails don’t match the holes in the carcass and the drawer front sticks out.

Solution:
- Move or redrill holes in the carcass for the rail holes, i.e. shift them backward/inward.

I hope some of you find this information helpful. It helped me because since the Metod changeover, the Rationell drawers are no longer available through the reorder service.

Hello, it should also be mentioned that the fronts need new drillings.

I used the Metod fronts Utrusta and did not have to change anything.
