IKEA Malm chest of drawers 160x78 freestanding in front of bed

I am moving soon and want to place the 160cm Malm dresser with 6 drawers in front of the (not raised) foot end of my 1.40m wide Ikea bed (I don’t remember the name, 5.5 years old, rather grayish white, with a headboard - no longer on the homepage). Actually, the Malm dresser is supposed to be attached to the wall with brackets. However, I don’t see any possibility to somehow attach the Malm dresser to the bed if it’s set up like that.

Can one dare to just place the Malm dresser without additional fixing, or could the wide version possibly tip over?

There are no children left in the household who could pull themselves up on it..

of course I definitely recommend securing the Malm dresser.

If I had one, I would use it with common sense so that it doesn't tip over. So I wouldn't load the drawers with large weight differences and never open more than one at a time. With the 160 cm wide Malm dresser, my concerns wouldn't be too strong anyway. And of course I wouldn't have a child or a cat who opens the drawers and jumps inside.
But as I already said, you should definitely secure the Malm dresser.

No children or cats present. Good, then I will figure out how to fix it once everything is set up.

My initial thought was to connect the Malm with the foot end of the bed using 2 brackets, but the bracket will not hold on the back panel of the Malm: the bed is narrower than the 1.60 m Malm. Or could the bracket that would go on the back panel of the Malm be glued on?
Has anyone had experience with this?
