IKEA laminate "Tundra" experiences?

in November 2010 we will start with our new construction - a city villa.

For the flooring, we have chosen the Ikea "Tundra". We've heard it is pretty good!
Has anyone had experience with it? Whether during installation, after long-term use, etc.
Do you have to use the additional materials from Ikea as well to secure the warranty?

We would be very, very happy about your tips!

my brother bought laminate flooring at Ikea and I have to say that the flooring is really good. I was initially skeptical because laminate has to withstand heavy use and should not be damaged immediately by heavy objects falling on the floor. I would therefore inquire at Ikea about how many rotations the laminate has. Mine in the living room has 11,000 rotations and is quite robust. Can you install the laminate yourself or do you have someone in the family who can do it, or do you still need an expert for it? These costs should also be considered. Otherwise, I would say you can't go wrong with Ikea laminate, as the price/performance ratio is usually absolutely right.

I am in the middle of laying IKEA "Tundra". About 25 sqm of flooring is to be laid in an eat-in kitchen. The installation was no pleasure. The laminate surface layer as well as the click connection (tongue and groove) are extremely sensitive. Even the slightest carelessness results in damage. The quality is - to put it mildly - borderline for me. Shortly before, I installed Alloc Domestic. Compared to Tundra, that was pure joy. It confirms once again: you get what you pay for.
