Ikea Faktum Oven

Hello,

nice that there is something like this forum and one might possibly get answers to questions that Ikea cannot answer.

For example the following:

We ordered a kitchen with a tall cabinet 233 cm and an oven (Nutid) to be installed in the middle.
Below are two drawers that only fit if you remove the back panel!!!! and above a 92 cm high cabinet door.
Above the oven there should be a panel, which may need to be adjusted, i.e. cut, I only found out from the hotline.

The problem is not the panel, but the lower shelf on which the oven rests. It is either too high or too low. Even if I use different "shelf supports" I never get the right height.

In addition, today the hotline told me: no no the panel goes under the oven, although this is nowhere stated in the instructions.... I tried that but it didn’t work, when I called the hotline again they told me again no no the panel goes above the oven....

So has anyone ever installed the oven separately in the 233 cabinet with panel above or below the oven??

As far as I know, two things are possible, either top or bottom, depending on the type of oven. The next thing is, what does the oven manual say? Does it say anything there?

Do you have an additional oven panel with a height of 9.4 cm? If so, that belongs there...

The drawers are made so that you can use them to their full depth. However, in the 233 cm high appliance cabinet, the back panel is set further inward to allow air circulation behind the oven or refrigerator. Therefore, you must remove the back panel if you use full-extension drawers instead of a normal door.

Above the oven, a panel is supposed to go in, which may need to be adjusted, i.e. cut, I only found that out from the hotline.

That's not a problem, but have the cut done at a hardware store; almost every hardware store will do this 30-second job for a coffee coin or for free. I wouldn’t cut it myself. A veneer edge bander is also included with the front panel, which can be self-adhesively applied to the cut edge by heating it with an iron. Unfortunately, this is solved this way because the appliances that go additionally into the oven cabinet (microwaves, built-in espresso machines, possibly a warming drawer) have different heights depending on the manufacturer.

However, the problem should be the easiest to solve! First, you can use the different supports on the upper and lower shelf to really get the correct niche spacing. Second, for my IKEA oven (although it was a Framtid and not a Nutid), the assembly instructions specified exactly which hole counted from the bottom and with which support the shelves should be mounted. And even if the instructions are not available or are incorrect (which I can hardly believe), you can drill the holes for the supports yourself in the correct position using a 5mm wood drill bit.

If you install oven and microwave, the panel definitely goes ABOVE the oven. I also have the 233 cm cabinet with two drawers below, then the oven, then the microwave, then about 9 cm of panel, then a door above. In my opinion, it should also be possible to solve it the other way around, i.e. the panel under the appliances.
