Ikea Brimnes bed frame. Screws don't fit

Hello everyone,

we started assembling the Brimnes bed frame yesterday and got stuck at the metal crossbars. The screws cannot be fastened into the designated holes here. Does anyone know the trick? Force and cordless screwdriver?

As far as I know, the holes are not threaded and the screws cut one in. That really means with force and the appropriate screwdriver / bit (Pozidrive, not Philips). (without guarantee)

we assembled our Brimnes last night, and it is indeed the case that you have to "cut" the thread yourself with the screw. But it worked well, my friend managed it by hand without a cordless screwdriver.

I’m also going to be a bit cheeky and join in here, because we actually had a completely different problem: right at the beginning, when assembling this "cross" in the middle that later separates the drawers, two of these plastic parts broke off that you insert into the holes where the screws go and then tighten with the screwdriver.
That really annoyed me, because at Ikea those are usually made of metal (for good reason). Is there any way to order these parts separately? I can’t drive 100 km to the next Ikea because of two little plastic pieces...

Take the part number from the assembly instructions and order the eccentric connecting fittings through customer service. 061 92 / 93 99999
