Such an Ivar can be quickly shortened in all directions with a few simple steps and a saw. You don't have to be a great craftsman for that. The clumsy ones simply screw the shelves at the modified spots with metal brackets.

hampshire, I’m not going to buy brand new goods just to tinker with them. The market surely has something that doesn't require tinkering. I’ll just choose that. It doesn’t have to be Ikea. But I already wrote, Billy there is something a bit more delicate, also good. Or Hornbach has a fine shelving system, name unknown, but it’s available in their stores.

Not as nice as a shelf from a carpenter, but practical and these are leftovers from the house construction.

I do. It’s just a preliminary product then. I trimmed a Pax cabinet in our entrance to size, took off 5cm. No one notices. In the original there is a rubber lip on one door for the corner solution, which I immediately removed in the redesign

Regarding the solution shown above by tomtom79. That just doesn’t work. I think it looks like a junk room and it doesn’t look particularly sturdy either.

I think a rail system is the better choice. In our case, the pantry door is always open, so it should also look good visually.

It is a junk room that no one looks into.
