Ikea Billys / screw several together

Hello Ikea fans,

I recently became the owner of 4 Billys and a Benno CD/DVD tower. I now wanted to assemble these into a shelving wall. At the IKEA information desk, I received a lot of screws and sleeves for this purpose, but no instructions. Therefore, the question to you:

How exactly do I attach the Billys and the Benno side by side? Has anyone had experience with this? At the moment, they are still standing quite wobbly next to each other at my place. This leads to the next question:

What is more sensible? To first attach the shelves to the wall and then screw them together, or vice versa?

thanks for the reply. do I drill through the already existing smaller holes for the board mounting or just wherever it fits me in the middle of the wood? where did you place the screws?
