Ikea Besta - Adjusting / setting drawers, experiences?

Hello everyone,

we bought a Besta combination for the living room.

Assembly was as always trouble-free, but the gaps on the drawers are very unattractive.

I have already tried adjusting via the rails and the small adjustment screws at the end of the rails, but we can only adjust the tilt of the front, not a shift of the entire front to the right or left...

All cabinets are properly plumb and the drawers are also properly assembled.




Do you have any experience with this and any suggestions?

Hello, swap the left and the right drawer. If the gap is then too small, the holes were drilled outside the tolerance. Next, only exchange the front to determine whether the error lies with the front or the drawer box. If everything looks the same as before after swapping the drawers, check again with a square or a set square whether all corners are exactly right-angled. Lateral adjustment is not possible with BESTA.
