Hello ErikErdgas,

thank you very much for the reply!

The idea of linking the fireplace and the heating system was also immediately rejected by my husband when I presented it to him. He said the additional technical effort and the larger storage needed for it are not worth it. And as you also say, it would probably be too much of a good thing.

In the meantime, I have also read into some information pages on the internet. So far, I have found almost only positive responses. However, the system with the zeolite heat pump is not that old yet.
And the funding programs are only intended for old building renovations, right? At least that's what I have read.

Do you perhaps have personal experience with this heating system?

Best regards!

If I had enough money, I would have gotten a combined heat and power system. Ever thought about that? You get electricity and heat. The efficiency should be extremely high.

Certainly, but at what price? Investment/benefit? ;-.)
Efficiencies are performance-related snapshots at a moment in time and alone are of little use for an overall, energetic assessment.
Sellers often like to use high efficiencies under laboratory conditions as a sales argument.
Unfortunately, they are not economically viable in reality!

Best regards.
