Hi,
as soon as it gets warmer outside again, the damn annoying flies (houseflies or blowflies, no idea) show up. Having one or two is not a problem, but when you enter the living room and there are about 20 small ones (seem to be pretty young flies) flying wildly back and forth at eye level in one spot like in a vortex, it’s neither nice nor does it feel comfortable.
I caught almost 20 with the fly swatter... and a big bumblebee was flying around the living room too.
We had the same thing in the kids' room but there were only about 10 flies.
I just wonder where they come from? We don’t keep any door open for long (so no patio door that stays open for a long time), no window open for constant ventilation, no trash lying around, no food leftovers, etc. etc...
At first, I suspected the cat food bowls in the utility room, but since wet food only goes in there when the cats are around and they eat everything right away, you would notice any larvae laid there...
Does anyone have tips on how to deal with this? I didn’t want to spray anything or constantly squash flies on all the walls and windows with the fly swatter...
I also find it strange since I didn’t have this problem in the old apartment.
