How to secure a slope and design a garden entrance cost-effectively?

Hello,
In the picture you can see on the right the string frame for our hillside precast garage, at the back the earth wall to be designed, and on the left the house wall, where further ahead (not in the picture) the house entrance is located. Behind the house, backfilling is still being done, so something has to be put there as well to prevent the fill material from falling out at the side. Additionally, the earth wall must be retained and a stairway to the garden (about 2.3m I estimate) must also be built there.

How would you solve this nicely (and cost-effectively)?

However, it would also be conceivable - as indicated in the building application - to backfill and let the stairs come up to just before the garage entrance. This would have the advantage that no steep (and therefore dangerous) height differences would arise. However, parking space for bicycles, garbage bins, etc. would be lost. Backfilling and slowly sloping would be possible because an earth pressure beam is installed in the house there.

I’ll join in. I’m still planning the outdoor area as well. I only have the advantage or disadvantage that the slope is already retained.

I could imagine that filling up could become quite expensive, unless you still have material stored on the property.

Slopes are harder to maintain than flat areas or, if planted with shrubs or ground cover, more expensive than lawn.
Our wall will have a railing. We will probably build the stairs next year or even the year after that. However, our main terrace is located below.

I guess the wall is most likely stone on stone or concrete as the cheapest option.

We have to pile up soil behind the house anyway so that we don’t fall into the ditch when we go out from the upper floor into the garden. Then the question is whether to create a gentle slope for the stairs by piling up soil, or to live with a steep slope with a retaining wall and fall protection and a staircase built into it. Unfortunately, I have no idea what costs what :-(
However, if we want the version with support using a wall/L-shaped stones, we need to decide that within the next few weeks

Since you need an excavator anyway, let me dig a bit. He can do that quickly for a few bucks. A retaining wall plus railing will surely be more expensive in your case. In my opinion, the thing is too steep and high for a planter wall.

Thank you very much for the assessment! Exactly, the excavator is already there. In about 2 weeks, the area behind the house will be backfilled and compacted in layers. Would you then also apply material in front of this earth wall between the garage and the house and have it sloped? And compact it in layers as well?
