When I asked him where the moisture should go, he just shrugged.
Wherever the moisture goes without wallpaper.
In our experience, fleece is not suitable if the walls are not properly dry yet. There is certainly still moisture inside when you move in, right?
How much experience do you have with the different wall coverings???
Wallpaper lets the moisture out – paste as well as construction moisture!
You will be dealing with moisture for 1 to 2 years – only heating and ventilating help!
You must not seal the walls with plastics or paints.
Whether you use wallpaper (fleece or woodchip) or paint the plaster directly is a matter of taste.
Some don’t like bare plaster walls, others don’t like the cracks that wallpaper would hide. Fleece is somewhat stretchable and easier to work with, which is why many choose it. Also, some want the modern look (smooth wall) without feeling like they are living in the "shell construction" textured by the plasterer.
