Briefly and concisely explained. The gross income of the 12 months is added together. Then, based on the tax class (which was held most frequently during the 12 months), the net salary is calculated and divided by 12. The result is the parental allowance per month. It is possible that, for example, the months in which the mother was on maternity leave are excluded. Then these 12 months shift accordingly. If there are 2 tax classes equally often in the 12 months (i.e., 6 months each), the tax class that was held at the end counts. For the father, the 12 months before the birth also count. not before parental leave (just for your information).
