Personally, I wouldn't slap Stocryl on the wall inside the house, because

You would do everything differently than me anyway. The stuff is called exactly Opticryl and I see nothing that will poison me there.

I would just think beforehand about which product names I throw around and recommend. Especially when pointing out that you have a master painter at hand who knows what he's doing.

Opticryl is indeed something different from stocryl.

The questioner asked about latex and experience with it, whether it comes from sto or maleco or Brillux etc. does not matter, I did not say it was called stocryl, but I believe it was called that. Anyone browsing Sto.de will then find Opticryl, or go to Bauhaus and buy the latex they carry. - And I do not have a master painter at hand, but the aforementioned M. is my biological brother.

No stress, it's not as bad as it seems. For me and my wife, this is also completely new territory; with all these terms, it's easy to get confused.

Forums like this one are, in my view, meant for exchanging ideas, getting tips from those who have had good or less good experiences, and sharing your own experiences with others.

But blindly relying on every recommendation is not a good idea. You should question the answers and find the best way for yourself from the various possibilities.

In this case, it's about the idea of painting wet rooms with a wipeable paint that handles moisture well. For that, we need to see how it looks on [Kalk-Zementputz Q2] or if we should apply [Renoviervlies] on the walls beforehand.

Hello forum, I can’t really give advice because I myself need advice. Spring is just around the corner and some rooms need a new coat of paint. Unfortunately, I had a bit of bad luck last time. The house is from 1976 and one wall is also the weather side. Here I had the problem with the coverage of the paint in the corners, but I can rule out moisture. I had to paint these areas several times. Is there a possibility here, e.g. [Isolierungsfarbe], to achieve better coverage? I would be happy to receive advice here. Ps. The walls are covered with [Raufasertapete].
