How high is my knee height?

We are planning a single-family house on a nice plot.

Basic requirements for the house on the plot are:

- Max. single-story construction
- Gable roof 30 degrees
- Permissible eaves height 5 m
- Permissible ridge height 9 m

How high is/should/must my knee wall be?

I would say it initially depends on the house width and the height of the ground floor.

Draw yourself a simple cross-section using the framework data listed above, then you should be able to read off the rough knee wall height.

Depends entirely on how deep you want to dig in and how wide your house should be. I think with a house width of 9m, about 1.65m could come out without major compromises.
