Good evening everyone,

I hope I am asking my question in the right subforum.

A new development area will soon be developed in our city. We are now considering purchasing a plot of land in this new development area. But how should we proceed with this? Who do you contact for this?

Thanks in advance!

Plots of land are generally purchased from the owner. That is the contact person.

Hello,

this has already been answered here several times, please use the search.

The first point of contact would be the municipality's homepage. There might already be information about the construction area and the application process published there. If not, then contact the responsible employee of the building authority at the municipality. He will tell you how the situation is.

In most cases, however, there is a regulated application process. So a certain period (from - to) in which you can apply for the plot of land. And then it is usually evaluated according to criteria such as number of children, years of residence in the area, workplace in the town, or charitable activity. Whoever can prove the most will be awarded the contract.

Aside from that, there are every possible variation from "first come, first served" to you must have lived in the town for at least 10 years.

In the southern German area, more and more municipalities are marketing their building plots via a platform. Since linking is not allowed here, just google Bauplatz + the person sitting in a plane in the cockpit. If that comes into question considering the region.

In which district are you looking?

I will presumably find out the owner through the city/municipality as well, right?

Oh great! Thanks for the detailed answer. That really helped us a lot.

Sorry, I didn't find anything using the search, but that might also be due to the time and my tiredness.
