hello if I want to buy a plot of land, how do I find out who owns it?

for example, I would like to buy a small plot of land - for a garden.. so I can’t afford a house but a garden nearby would be nice.

how much does something like that cost approximately? since it is in a residential area, it is building land, which is more expensive. I have also heard that there are monthly taxes.

thank you very much

Julia

For a garden, the easiest way is through allotment garden clubs. That way, you immediately have companions,... The clubs know if gardens are available.

You want to buy building land as garden land? Aside from the fact that there might be an obligation to build, don’t you think you’d be better and cheaper off in a garden association?

If you want to know who owns the property, ask the neighbors, they usually know. Otherwise, inquire at the land registry office.

Buying building land and then not building on it is often not possible. My grandpa once bought 2 plots opposite his own, then only wanted to build garages on them. The end of the story: Without a house on the plot, no garage. Whoever owns a plot, [Der Da] already said how to get the info. But there are also garden plots. They are usually located in a garden settlement and are often not so expensive. Or else the club.

In old residential areas, there is usually no building obligation at all. Maybe it belongs to a community of heirs or someone from the neighborhood who keeps it for their grandchildren. Ask neighbors, as Der Da already says, maybe you can lease it from the owner for a certain period? Otherwise, ask the older residents in the area: maybe you can use a part of the garden from them and help them with the gardening in return.
