I don't need to define *envy*, I can only say that I wouldn't want to trade my profession for that of a banker.....

Sorry, but with your salary, I would have expected a fancy house.

But it is that simple. The electrician apparently finds people who measure the plaster with the spirit level difficult and sees his prejudice confirmed. So what. You don't find yourself difficult. That opinion shouldn't affect you.

We refused a craftsman exactly once. He charged double the usual price and, for example, calculated 500€ for the demolition of an old single-layer drywall 3m long.

Otherwise, we were glad if we found any craftsmen at all. However, most of them were a disaster. Admission of obvious mistakes was close to zero. Pre-wall element not fixed (toilet tilted), tile drilled and cracked in the wet area with moisture damage, high-voltage connections incorrectly labeled, etc. All certified German local specialist companies.

What I want to say is: You have to search and find and properly honor and keep good craftsmen. With the rest, keep your nerves and don’t let yourself be made a fool of.

It can. I once had a boss who was a hothead. That’s when I learned when it’s better to keep my mouth shut or to yell back. Sometimes they need opposition in the form of loudness, and two hours later it’s like pouring oil on the fire.

See, there it is again: envy and prejudice. I know where I come from (Serbian worker's child) and where I am now. Maybe you never understood my posts. I always warn against letting yourself be enslaved by the banks. Yes, I could have a house with golden faucets. And then? I can't treat myself to a Thailand vacation with two kids and the pizza at Giovanni's on Saturday.

golden faucets? From €100,000/year? With a car on credit? You want to be what you are not.
