Oh dear, with electricity consumption PER HOUR, it’s almost worth having your own power plant

So, now something constructive: Google "heat pump consumption database" or add a .de at the end... That will surely help you most in estimating the electricity consumption. I think the household electricity is within reasonable limits

Hahaha - yes, you're right. But I have discovered the mistake or the reason why you think that.

I checked: t.in averages about 5 degrees. Domestic hot water temperature is at 50. But it also depends on where the sensor is positioned in the tank. Set room temperature 20.

My builder said that in the first year (moved in Nov 17) the electricity costs are higher than normal. Heating costs should then settle at 600-800/a. Our house is also not plastered yet, which might also be a factor.

Do you need such warm water? I also started at 50 and am now down to 48. It brought 0.2 AZ and less compressor runtime in the high load ranges. So far, a 170l tank is enough. When four adults shower, it gets a bit tight. The tin of 5 is of course great, my baskets currently only bring 0.2 degrees at the beginning of the cycle and drop to -4.0 during a combined heating and hot water cycle.

Do you not have to be 60 because of the germs? Legionella? Dead from 60 onwards?..
