What room volume do you have and what air exchange rate is being aimed for? The datasheet specifies a max. volume flow of 260m^3.

I would need to ask specifically :) I'll provide that later

So quickly I land on the same question ;)

We have 579m³ of volume to ventilate before furniture and other air displacers and are aiming for a 4-person household.

For the heating load calculation, an air exchange rate of 0.3 was assumed. That would mean 173m³/h. It would be in the normal range of 260, which can be set between 115-200m³/h nominal volume flow. If I calculate with 30m³ per person, I can easily manage with the recoVAIR 260/4.

A party mode at turbo with 260m³/h would then result in a max air exchange rate of not even 0.5.

The 360/4 E can probably be set in the menu between 175-280m³. Then I would be at a minimum air exchange rate of 0.3 and hardly limited upwards.

However, in terms of sound power levels, they are really similar. If I assume that the large system runs at level 1, while my small system would have to run at level 2, the devices would be equally loud. Only the small one can only reach a max of 59dB, while the large one already manages 66dB.

How did it turn out for you?

Am I stupid... I had it calculated after all.

I think the small system will probably be sufficient for me. However, I will tell the heating engineer that I don't need the enthalpy heat exchanger. Then, in the beginning, I will probably get the moisture out of the building, and later I will buy an enthalpy exchanger as a spare and install it if it gets too dry in winter.

Why the hassle? Just have it installed right away. Why pay twice? It can only recover a certain amount of moisture anyway. The excess is ventilated out, so you might as well install it immediately.
