So okay, sorry.. I was referring to our non-existent shops.. Here it is unfortunately really the case that nothing is available. The house is now an exception and a coincidence for us..

Who would want to live at the ass end of the world without any infrastructure. If you now build a house there for €500k, the depreciation (market adjustment factor) is such that you would rather stay there longer. Otherwise, you lose a lot of money when selling.

The nice thing about the middle of nowhere in the world is that the prices are affordable… So compared to the prices you all probably had to pay for building or buying. Anyone who can come to terms with the middle of nowhere in the world is not doing anything wrong. Work is nearby, family, friends. I don’t need more…
We are also aware of what building depreciation means. That’s why this house would rather be our intention.

I still haven't quite understood the purchase price justification with the taxes, but that's actually not important. What matters is what comparable houses cost in your region or what you can get for 200,000 with you. To my knowledge, even in very rural areas, that is now the lowest price limit for the kind of houses that do not count as the current 85 percent junk on the market. A building expert/property appraiser can better help to assess that.

If you had paid attention in school, you would know that the solidarity surcharge was/is by no means used only for the "new" federal states.

Don't worry, it was not written as an insult or anything like that. If it was taken that way, here is an apology from me!
