House construction in the suburbs of Munich? What should we invest in?

Jesus, guys... I come from the Munich area myself and now my family and I have landed in the Stuttgart suburbs. At first, we rented there until the opportunity arose to buy the semi-detached house. Now I am the owner, soon we will renovate the place (our landlord never did anything before either) - but I haven't really gotten used to it yet. Even though it was definitely sensible to buy the house, no one needs to tell me that. As for my old home: it's pretty crazy, even there we (2 academics, 2 kids, secure jobs) would almost be Paris by now. It's really insane.
