Ah, thanks for the hint, I mean the real estate transfer tax.

... efficiently, instead of with Excel sheets and comparison offers. Simply, when in doubt, things were put on the "is Tüdelkram, bruk wi nich" list (swing gate instead of sectional gate, second parking space, i.e. the one for the car, saved because the car stays outside; sink doesn’t have to be from Colani) and "treated" oneself elsewhere where it makes sense (also packed walkable stairs to the attic, outdoor faucet). If I remember correctly, the little house corner is to comply with the floor area, so nothing fancy there either.

However, it must be said that most builders are "first-time birthers" and will not be able to do this with the same consistency.

How much personal work was involved to achieve around 1500€/m²? (House incl. base slab?)

I don’t see the connection between these statements. Nordlys, who did this exemplarily, was already significantly above the targeted costs at least two years earlier (and after a substantial wage agreement), even his base house price (not ready to move in) was above that. Therefore, I would rather conclude: no, unfortunately not possible.

1) Kekse is right. I also don’t see 150 as feasible. 2) Own work was only done in the area of painting, otherwise companies. 3) We didn’t perform miracles, just took a look...and had a general contractor who also isn’t a fan of frills. Abbe Ecke was actually not an architectural gag, but because of the floor area ratio. The house was a bit too big with the corner. It might have been approved by the authorities, but this way it was clean.
