hi,

this is really very interesting. unbelievable what the people of antiquity were capable of, and that without excavators or cranes... or... that is simply fascinating. today, one doesn't even really know how they managed to build the pyramids back then, for example. when you look at all these old buildings that still stand today, you wonder what progress has actually brought us that is truly new. sure... through machines, etc., time and jobs are saved, but purely from an architectural point of view, the people of antiquity were certainly not inferior.

best regards,
yung ;)

Hi!

Yes... that really makes you think. It's amazing what people in earlier eras were capable of, and all without any technology. But back then there was also slavery...

Best regards,

Reality or Illusion?

Hello!

Actually, it is not archaeologically clarified whether these hanging gardens in Babylon even existed. Maybe these hanging gardens simply come from the imagination of people. And when stories are told for a long time, they eventually become true – in the minds of people. There are no written records from that time that could prove the existence of the hanging gardens. Only during the Roman period, when Babylon was already destroyed, did a poet describe the hanging gardens.

But I don’t want to ruin this idea either. After all, the gardens were already considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. So there must be some truth to it, in my opinion. ;)

Best regards,
Garden design :)

hi onetwofour!

well... the hanging gardens of babylon probably wouldn't fit in your garden...*G* but your idea sounds really exciting! only, how to realize something like that, i have no clue. i think you'd almost have to consult an architect...
