Hello everyone,

this time a shorter introduction from me :).

Does anyone have experience with the manufacturer Himolla? We felt quite comfortable on a sofa from them at the furniture store and also found the reclining-relax function for a sofa-integrated variant not so bad at all! But before we start configuring such a thing, I wanted to ask here how the experiences are, because the reports online are mostly negative with this manufacturer as well (which, as is well known, does not necessarily mean that everything from them is bad).

I would appreciate feedback.

Best regards

Your arguments in favor of quality are not necessarily the best, wouldn't you agree? Family business, made in Germany? We are in the year 2022... Actually, different criteria are needed to be able to directly talk about good quality, the times when this was a quality feature are, in my opinion, long gone, at least not as generally as it might have been before.

Is the quality really good or should it only be good because?

But still, thanks for your answer, I had no idea they were that big! I have never heard or read about the brand before (furniture is not really a topic I deal with daily anyway). However, 70 reviews are really not many.

It is actually good quality. These were observations, not quality characteristics. The furniture lasts longer than 6 months without being worn out or the fabric being rubbed off ;). Own experience – although in the past I preferred to buy Ewald Schillig (but I don’t know how current the quality is after the takeover/insolvency). Around 3,500 employees and almost 400,000 upholstered furniture pieces per year. You only find this in specialist shops (furniture stores). So it’s not being sold off anywhere. That already speaks for a certain quality standard.

I really hope a couch that costs almost five figures isn’t already worn out after just 6 months!

That’s exactly why I ask about the quality… I am by no means careless with spending money, but I do realize that quality usually (rightfully) costs, and if I have peace of mind for 10 years, I can live with having spent twice as much on a couch than on one that is already worn out after 5 years.

Maybe someone else can be found who has been using their Himolla couch for longer than 6 months?

I can't offer the long period (but it lasted 5 years without any problems). I've never lived in a house that long and with every new property, there were also new pieces of furniture
