Infrared heaters are probably the common choice. You have to forget the idea of bringing 40sqm outside to living room temperature, of course that is completely crazy. Or you build a warm winter garden, but at that size not cheap, however a "real" living space extension (plan a dining area in there, etc).

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm looking for. But that's what you talk about. Could have been that there’s something now that heats from below. No, then we'll just do it with infrared.

With the emitters, whether infrared or gas, don't you have the same problem as with fire? Everything within the beam area gets warm, the rest stays cold?

From below when it is cold above - how unpleasant!

It’s not a problem as long as you sit reasonably within the radiation area. In addition, the outdoor heaters are technically different (more like the red light for incubating eggs) than the indoor heaters, which do not emit light. The warmth is very pleasant.

so the head doesn't get hot and the feet under the table don't get cold. Not bad then.

Ok I don't need something like that, I'm not a cold person and if anything I would really consider a warm conservatory. Last year at -20 degrees I did dig out the ski pants and long underwear

No one needs something like that – especially not for extending living space to the outside even on colder days. It’s a nice feature when you stay outside longer during the transitional season and enjoy the fresh air with wine and cheese while having a good conversation you don’t want to interrupt. A warm conservatory is not outside, but a room. We also have large windows in our living space, even facing every direction.
