Hello,

we are considering the following heating options for our house construction:

Groundwater heat pump or heat pump with deep drilling

and

solar system with a pellet heating system for support

Here are the details of our house:

at least Kfw70 with 140-160 sqm and underfloor heating

Which heating option do you recommend?
Thank you very much for your answers.

Can you even apply variant 1 at your place? That is not possible everywhere, if I am correctly informed.

...there is still a lot of information missing.

Can you say something about the estimated prices? A pellet heating system with solar and necessary buffer storage probably costs no more than a ground-source heat pump with drilling.

After the heating load calculation, you know the energy demand of your future house and can also compare the consumption and ancillary costs a bit.

Personally, I would tend towards the ground-source heat pump/drilling. Here you have lower follow-up costs (maintenance) and usually save yourself a buffer storage tank. The technical room can be significantly smaller, and you don’t need a storage room either. You can build smaller here (savings) or otherwise have more space available. You also don’t need a chimney.

Furthermore, you can later possibly increase your self-consumption with photovoltaics, at least in summer, running not only household consumption but also water heating through it. I’m not even talking about storage (batteries) yet.

All my opinion, without guarantee.

Best regards

A heating load calculation has absolutely nothing to do with the actual energy consumption!

Sorry - with the terms it's always a tricky matter for laypeople.
Would it be the heat demand calculation, where desired temperatures, floor coverings, etc. also flow in (can/must)?

Best regards

You seem to be the only one who is making a remark or thinking about it! Normally, due to my statement, there should have been an outcry from the nation! However, nothing happened ;-) Heat demand means energy by definition, not power! This small difference (h) alone has even misled some "experts"! The parameters you mentioned are the basis for an exact heating surface design (e.g. underfloor heating). The desired temperatures are anchored in the room heating load, to which the heating surface design should correspond. Best regards
