Hello, we want to build soon about 130 sqm + underfloor heating and now the question arises:

Better gas or a geothermal heat pump?
How much does each system with underfloor heating approximately cost?

Best regards, Caro

Hello,

so even though the investment in a geothermal heat pump is larger (as far as I am informed, only the price of the drilling is the additional cost factor), I would definitely prefer a geothermal heat pump if it is financially feasible. It works great, we have it ourselves, and this way we are not dependent on gas prices and have a low monthly heating cost burden. For 145m² we pay only €110 per month including household electricity, controlled ventilation with heat recovery, heating, and hot water. The house should definitely be a low-energy house, meaning well insulated. Then you also get a small contribution from the BAFA as part of the promotion of efficient heating systems.

You would have to ask the companies for exact costs. For us, it was already included in the house price as standard.

I hope this helps you further.

Best regards Soundsurf

Hello Soundsurf,

may I ask what you mean by household electricity? Does that refer to the total electricity consumed monthly or only the electricity for heating and domestic hot water?

From which provider do you have your house? I am interested because you wrote that this heating was included in the price.

Thanks in advance

Klaus

Hello tastateur,

by household electricity I mean everything that runs on electricity in the house, such as the washing machine, TV, lights, etc., as well as the electricity for the controlled ventilation with heat recovery. The heat pump, which is responsible for heating and hot water, is connected to a special tariff meter, as many electricity providers offer a special heat pump tariff for heat pumps.

And together we currently pay an advance of 110 €/month.

Best regards, Soundsurf
