Hello everyone,

I find the shower fittings / showers etc. from Hansgrohe appealing. In many promotional videos and at the control units, I noticed that you can adjust the temperature and the consumption (hand shower or rain shower). However, you can adjust the pressure or the strength of the water.

Is that even necessary anymore or is that the new trend?

I can imagine that sometimes in the shower you might want to spray something off with a stronger jet or just stand under the shower with a weak jet?

According to the picture, I would assume that the upper rotary knob can be adjusted steplessly between 0 and 1, thus also regulating the strength of the jet. But it only switches between shower head or rain shower.

That would of course be good. I also just noticed that I posted the wrong picture. 2 consumers look like this:

100% spray or 100% rain shower. No settings for spray intensity. I have noticed that too. We are facing a similar decision.

I have exactly this model in use - it is an Ecostat Square for two consumers. That is the variant with a button - but the strength cannot be adjusted there. In the first picture, two consumers are also connected. I have the 1st for the hand shower and the 2nd for the Raindance ceiling shower. Depending on how much you turn towards 1 or 2, you adjust the amount of water (and thus also the pressure). It's basically like any other fitting - whether single-lever mixer or with rotary handles. Do you need that? No idea. Is it possible otherwise? I have actually never seen that you can only turn water on or on full blast. And yes, sometimes you need power and sometimes it is not necessary, e.g. to have 20 liters per minute pouring from the rain shower. As I said, like with any other fitting.

hey, I practically helped myself indirectly through the forum entry. I thought there was only the version with the buttons and posted a wrong picture (Ecostat Square) during the search. Then that would be exactly the thing I need, since with the "Ecostat Square" you can also adjust the intensity. The buttons for 2 consumers then make no sense in my case.

For people who absolutely want the buttons and still want to adjust the intensity, one could possibly put another I-Box in front and maybe attach an intensity control. (but I don’t know to what extent that works).

Or you take the RainSelect. (Button + spray intensity). But those things are almost 3x more expensive than the Ecostat Square.
