What is normal these days anyway...

Neither, 5cm higher or lower doesn't make much difference. According to DIN 68935, it should be between 85cm and 95cm...I might measure it tonight.

Do you have a photo of your mounted washbasin? I am facing the same problem!

The picture is indeed older but here you go. I completely forgot to measure. But based on the tiles, you can clearly see that the top edge of the washbasin is about 92-93cm:

To my knowledge (and that is how we did it), at the places in e.g. the bathroom and kitchen where cabinets are to be hung, a sheathing made of OSB + GK or, somewhat cheaper, a double sheathing made only of GK is used.

It always depends on what has been ordered and paid for.

Thank you very much for the photo. In my consideration, I was rather thinking of a picture of the mounting. I have two washbasins each with a width of 60 cm. Between them there is still a socket area of 15 cm. That means I have a total dimension of 135 cm. For this dimension or possibly a bit larger, I now want to create a washbasin with two faucets and a shared base cabinet. I had a pre-wall frame installed for both washbasins, from which only the threaded bolts and of course the drain and hot and cold water protrude. Now to my questions 1. How thick does the sheet metal to be installed have to be? Is 3-4 mm sufficient? 2. Should the sheet metal be stainless steel? 3. Is there perhaps something like this already finished from a manufacturer? I imagine it like this: I take a 135 cm long, about 30 to 40 cm wide, 4 mm thick stainless steel sheet and measure where the threaded rods would come out and drill holes there. Then I mark the brackets of the base cabinet on the sheet and drill holes there as well. I countersink the drill holes and insert a flat head screw through which points towards the wall. To the thread of the screw, I then screw the cabinet. Can it be done this way or am I thinking too complicated again?
