The base slab is still insulated from the outside if [WDVS] is used... otherwise, yes, under the base slab and the strip foundations hardly any [GÜ] does anything except foil.

Of course, only if nothing else is desired/paid for and only if built according to "standard".

Basically, I only know it as described here by Nordlys...

In my case (with basement), there is no concrete part in contact with ground or air (neither from below, above, right, or left) that did not have to be insulated with 12cm XPS. The energy consultant was really picky.

I would really be interested to see how the comparison (energy loss/ heating demand) would be without insulation.

What does a general contractor charge for the insulation of the floor slab that it is regularly omitted? We have (in-house work) partially concreted a new base slab (~35m²) in the existing building and insulated it all around with 5cm and below with 10cm; it didn’t cost even 400€.

What does a general contractor charge for insulating the base slab, that it is regularly omitted? We partially poured a new floor slab in the existing building (own work) (~35m²) and insulated it all around with 5cm and underneath with 10cm; it didn’t cost 400€.

Our shell builder wanted €22.30 net per sqm including material and labor for 12cm XPS.

But that is prices from the end of 2017 / beginning of 2018.
