Green flat roof and photovoltaic system

Where did you buy that? I also want to green our place, but I’m having trouble finding something under €40/sqm.

My dad is self-employed in that field. So those are equity prices. Although if you talk to a building materials dealer, you should also get a 20-30% discount. That’s how I did it in the garden area. You just have to talk to the people.

Green roofing is really no big deal. You just need a crane to lift the substrate onto the roof.

We built our warehouse roof with photovoltaics floating above the green roof and it works perfectly! I will provide photos later. Of course, it costs money and effort, but in return it will work almost worry-free forever. For hot days, we also installed an irrigation system so nothing dries out in summer and the photovoltaic modules are cooled on the back side. This brings about 0.5 to 0.8 kW additional yield for the 9.9kWp system after about 15 minutes of irrigation.

The problem is that the thinks that photovoltaics and green roofing exclude each other.

We have just submitted our building application (also in Hesse), green roofing and photovoltaics. According to the development plan, this is possible and the architect has no problem with it either. The other posts here also show that it works well.
