First of all, the base of the house plus the lower two rows of Poroton or Ytong in the shell construction should be sealed with two coats of thick waterproof slurry. Then there is also a roof overhang that provides protection. Therefore, the dimpled membrane can also be omitted. The interior floor is sealed against pressurized water with a bitumen welding membrane. Katsten

The dimpled membrane is actually meant to protect the sealing layer. This can be a slurry as described by Karsten or a bitumen thick layer like ours or something else. Without the dimpled membrane, the gravel might press holes into the bitumen layer.

I have now bought sealing slurry, which I will apply to the base slab before installing the dimpled membrane (again, and more carefully than the workers). In terms of dimpled membrane, the simple version is probably sufficient, but I will likely choose the manufacturer "Dörken." It was recommended to me because the material is supposedly high quality. Somehow the price differences have to be somewhat justified. The terrace, front entrance, and driveway to the garage will be paved flush with the house. So no 20-meter gravel strip. Personally, I usually find the curbstones ugly. Many neighbors instead set the regular paving stones in a concrete bed as a boundary. This would have the advantage that there would also be a path around the house. Which of you still had the woman with the "expensive gravel taste"? [emoji6] I am now also looking for decorative gravel. I haven’t really found anything suitable yet. I would like round, gray-anthracite colored gravel with a minimum size of 1.5 cm.

Good success. Applying slurry with a brush is fun. It's like playing in the mud as in the old days. Karsten

Our patio door is flush with the floor, according to gu we have to install a [birkorinne] in front of it, may I drain it into the [Lichtschacht] which is connected to the soakaway with a 100 kg pipe.

They are also available in natural stone, which looks quite good, at least it suits my taste. We have the borders in dark gray granite.

We used granite gravel in 40-60. It can be cleaned with the Kärcher.

Edit: By the way, we ultimately ordered it much cheaper from Raiffeisen Baustoffe compared to the hardware store price.
