Hello,
I am new to the forum and we are building with the company Systemhaus Fell from Merzig in Saarland.
We are quite satisfied with the executing companies so far, only - towards the end - there are apparently the "usual" little things that still need to be reworked and for this I would need some advice.
Unfortunately, the basement was only insulated up to the height of the basement ceiling with perimeter insulation (12 cm) and thus the insulation of the outer wall was extended down to the perimeter insulation and then plastered over it. That means the normal exterior insulation will now disappear underground up to the height of the floor-to-ceiling windows once we start building the terrace next year.
The basement ceiling itself is not insulated at the height of the windows. For a light well, some blocks of the perimeter insulation were simply cut out and glued in (see photos).
Therefore my questions:
1. Is it okay that the insulation of the outer facade can disappear in the terrace floor or do we need to consider something here when building the terrace?
2. Can the missing basement insulation simply be glued on?
3. The craftsman who insulated the outer facade told us that we should paint over the transition from the perimeter insulation to the facade insulation again with sealing slurry... so we applied the sealing slurry on the plaster... was that correct?
Thanks for feedback and personal experiences.
If I was unclear or if other information is needed to answer, I would also be grateful for feedback.
