Good day everyone,
In our home, the living room is separated from the kitchen/dining area by a glass balustrade that serves as a fall protection.
As shown in the picture, the wall is to be built, and behind it, on the ceiling drop, the TV will be mounted later; thus, the glass balustrade lies directly in the line of sight from the couch to the TV.
There will be no handrail on the glass.
Since I am afraid that reflections of the TV image may occur on the glass in the slightly darkened room, we had the option of anti-reflective glass offered as an alternative.
Now the offer is here, and they want an extra €750 for the anti-reflective coating. Is that normal?
I am now wondering if this is really necessary, or if we could skip it?
Can anyone give a recommendation on this?
I also wonder if it really has to be laminated safety glass of 2x8mm ESG, or if 2x6mm would suffice and thus save some lead time?
Thanks for the help!
Best regards
