Sure, you can do it that way... but I consider the idea that you "save" with it wishful thinking. In the end, you still have spent more money (much more)..

Why is Germany far behind in the average private wealth? Because the ownership rate of residential property is so low, right? In England, for example, there is the property ladder, just google it. Whoever enters it sensibly in their mid-20s is not making a mistake...

Well, I also have trouble with such savings contracts .... 40€ a month starting from confirmation. At best, you can only have an awesome vacation with that. Also contracts concluded by family members where you don't even know if anything still exists ... usually you get annual value statements. If you don't read these, you should stay away from house construction contracts .... it's just annoying mail.

My tip: set up standing orders immediately where each of you transfers a proper amount to your own savings account or brokerage at the beginning of the month, which is not to be touched for now. Not even for vacation. You something like €1000 and she €500. Then you have a small simulation of a family with a house and simultaneously save equity.

We actually did this from the first thought of buying a house and were able to buy the land as a result, which brought a good interest rate as equity.

Or if it runs long enough, this simulation also shows when you have roughly miscalculated. This is something you can really only recommend to all aspiring home builders.

I had to read that again

I give you the advice along with the other tips from my predecessors: let it mature a little longer! You have been working for 3 years and don’t know your status (That slip doesn’t make you unfireable, let alone a civil servant — just saying in passing)

Your young girlfriend is currently working on an evening degree to develop further. It may be that a job offer in another city will come up for her. In principle, everything is still possible for you — unfortunately not if you make yourselves immobile.

So enjoy your carefree life for a few more years and lay foundations — in your job as well as in your bank account.
